Ever since I bought my unibody MacBook, I’ve said I didn’t care that it didn’t have FireWire. But now that I’m copying hundreds of gigabytes at a time, I’m feeling the lack. Doh!
On the upside, I’ll never look an excuse-to-upgrade-horse in the mouth!

I never understood the difference between firewire and usb-I guess that’s one of the reasons that I understand about 3% of your posts!
So, I felt lame and decided to look it up on wikipedia- and now I actually think I understand it less!
LOL!
Basically, FireWire is faster than USB. The difference can range from 10% faster to about 80 times faster, depending on which version of FW and which version of USB.
The current version of FW is about twice as fast as the current version of USB.
See that makes sense- you should edit the wiki page- it was crazy!
